Cat Escapes a Collapsing, Burning Building

Cat survives by escaping a building that was so burnt that it had to be demolished. The Manitoba Towers Hotel in Canada caught fire at around 3:00 am CT Thursday morning. The fire was so bad that the hotel could not be saved.

Structurally unstable, it was decided that the entire building should be torn down. At 12:30 pm a wrecking crew began to demolish what was left of the charred hotel.

David Katcsma was video taping the hotel demolition when he realized that the building had not been totally evacuated. He witnessed a black and white cat sitting in a window frame located on the left side of the burnt hotel. It was too late to notify the wrenching crew because the building was already coming down.

Mr. Katcsma captured the cat’s daring escape on film. Moments after the building completely collapsed the damp cat emerged from the smoldering building ruble. Besides being a little anxious, the cat appeared to not be injured reported Katcsma. The black and white cat decline to comment on the ordeal.
